Smoked Porter. Pours a deep brown in colour with a tan head. The smokiness of the peated malts is matched by a smooth taste of toffee, caramel and dark fruits.

500ml Bottle - Dark brown in colour. Smoky and slightly roasted aroma with beech, ash and roasted malt. Roasted, chocolatey and moderately smoky taste with cocoa and liquorice. The smokiness is fairly subtle and is more evident in the aroma than the taste. Nicely balanced.

bottle from Darts Farm Topsham. Deep brown with a beige head and a touch of smoke in the nose. Medium-bodied, malty, lots of dark malts and a shy touch of smoked malts. Lingering dark finish.

Bottle labelled as Thornbridge Smoked Winter Porter, this was kindly passed on by the Head Brewer (Rob?) when we visited over the Bakewell Folk Festival w/e Aug 2014 consumed at home Sunday 31st August 2014 Pours almost black with a beige head. Fruity, tangy with a decent but not overdone smokiness which whilst always apparent is actually well integrated. I liked this its a good beer. A6 A3 T7 P4 Ov14 3.4

Bottle at home. The colour is pitch black, and has a big light brown head. Smokey aroma with coffee, camp fire, ash, forest and some dark chocolate. The flavour is similar but with even more smoke and burned wood. Slick mouth feel, and has a light to medium bitterness. A fantastic smokey porter which is very balanced and with a game character.
