Old rating rerated 15.06.2014, 0,5l bottle @ home:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry roasted, dark malts, roasted grain, coffee, burnt caramel, puffed rice, rye bread, cocoa, hints of licorice. Taste is dry and harsh burnt, roasted grain, burnt coffee, hay, burnt caramel, ashes, cocoa, hints of minerals. Medium to longlasting bitterness, dry and watery mouthfeel. Fair enough, just so boring! I wonder where the smoke went though...

Biggish beige head. Opaque body shows deep dark red body at edges. Lightly smoky roasty aroma with juniper notes. Dryish smoky licorice taste with juniper and chocolate notes. Mid-bodied. Sharpish mouthfeel. Dryish smoky mineraly juniper aftertaste with salty notes. It’s good, but a bit lacking in depth. (0.5l bottle, from wine monopoly, Vika, Oslo.)

Bottle. A dark brown to black beer, topped by a finger thick beige head. The aroma is mostly on the roasted side, but there’s a nice whiff of smoke as well. Coffee, some dark chocolates and a touch of citrus peel. Roasted, lightly smoked flavor with coffee and a touch of milk chocolate. A nice bitterness chimes in, mostly of the hoppy kind, and there’s also a little touch of citrus peel. Lasting finish with some bonfire in addition to the flavors found initially. Tasteful and easy drinkable this one, nice. 140503

A colablack beer with a beautiful light brown and big head. The nose is strongly roasted, some salt liquirice and smoke, also coffee. Good aroma that is surprisingly fresh. Taste is strongly roasted that is balanced with a nice sweetness and the overall taste is not too dry, some chocolate, hint of bready malts. Medium bodied, quite smooth carbonation. Succesfully Porter, nice balance despite of strong roastiness.
