This beer is our biggest one yet and it certainly stands up to the title. Weighing in at a massive 11% ABV, Str8 Flexin' is about as big as an Imperial Stout gets. The body is BIG and the carb is low leaving the mouth feel silky and rich. Huge aromas of chocolate fudge on the nose and balanced roasted espresso and vanilla flavours round out the palette. We suggest aging for 6-8 months to allow some of the alcohol flavours to mellow out more, but if you're feeling thirsty, this beer is ready to drink as is.

A bit of cola in the aroma, but the flavour still offers good chocolate character; it may feel a bit thinner and more boozy now; knowing what this was, there are some signs of oxidation, but they are quite well masked by the bold Stout.
This is likely the oldest can of beer I had to date, it's quite well preserved.
2023-03-30, can, 2022/2023 batch, 8-4-8-4-16=40
It seems more roasty than the older batches in my memory, and the alcohol is hotter; some salty liquorice in the beginning, some green peppers in the finish; this may sound not very captivating, but all in all it's still a good, straight, bold imperial stout.
2021-02-05, can, 2021 batch, 8-4-9-4-17=42
Initially, it's mostly dark bread and big roast, with strong alcohol perception; as it warms, there is some more dark chocolate, some more sweetness.
Great beer, it will be better in a couple of months.
2018-11-02, can from the brewery, 7-4-8-3-16=38
Still full bodied, touch of booze; it seems to have a more prominent salted liquorice character, possibly also more roasted malts, although the moderate sweetness provides some balance to it.
2018-02-18, draught at the brewery, 7-4-9-5-17=42
Full bodied, perfect balance of roasted malt, dark chocolate, with medium sweetness, roasted nuts, a hint of spices. The aroma is rather mild.
Excellent, straight Imperial Stout.
2017-11-27, can, 9 months old, 8-4-8-4-17=41
The aroma leans on the dark bread crust and toasted bread, the mouthfeel is full, chocolate dominates the flavor, with strong roasted malt and some quality coffee too, the mild sweetness helps to balance all those dark notes; hints of sweet liquorice in the final. Excellent.

Drinking sweet dark bready. Young but very good.
2017-03-04, draught at the brewery, 7-4-8-4-15=38
Black color with barely any head. The aroma is rather mild, roasted malts, chocolate, cardboard. Lean body, moderate sweetness; the roasted malt is upfront, but not ashy; some dark salty chocolate, just a touch of molasses, hint of liquorice, and strong bitterness.
Very good beer, pleasant, comforting. One of the best in the Province, not the most complex Imperial Stout though.

Tasting with Alex, Brian and George. Tall can from the brewery (thx, Alex!). Canned on 2017-02-24. Pours a very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma and taste are coffee, roasted malt, grainy, some chocolate notes and molasses. Really nice.
