Draught @ Borefts 12. Clear pale yellow color, small white head. Smell sourish, slightly sour fruits. Taste sourish, dry, hint of green apple. Medium body, dry texture, a bit fizzy medium to full carbonation. Don’t get any bourbon unfortunately.

Sampled @ Stockholm Beer & Whisky 2012. Pours tiny hazy golden with a frothy white head that leaves a small trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is sweet, sour and fruity with green apples, buttery wood, vanilla essence, powdered sugar, oatmeal cookies, apfelstrudel, brett, rubber, rose pepper, cardamon and hints of alcohol. Taste is clean and fruity with lots of red and green apples, dry soil, apple pie, barnyard, wood, cinnamon, cardamon, brett and hints of vanilla. Mouthfeel is dry, crisp, tart and light to medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and tart with red and green apples, wood, hay, barnyard, rose pepper, vanilla and brett. Quite tasty!

On tap at Borefts 2012, Bodegraven. Pours clear yellow with a modest, white foam head. Rich, fairly ripe apples in the nose. Medium to big sweet flavor, some semi-ripe apples, faint dankness, light funk and dough. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish, moderately sweet, with crisp apples. Pretty exceptional stuff.

Draft @ Borefts 2012. Bright golden, fine champagne-style bubbles rising, creamy white head. Smell of light tangy apples, tad lactic, tart apples, fruity, light new white wood. Lovely sour tartness, tad lactic, tangy sour apples, light white wood, not really picking up the bourbon, tart goodness, skins. Clean sour body. Highly enjoyable stuff.
