Ready for a no-holds-barred, unapologetically hoppy beer? This brew delivers with a huge hit of Simcoe hops on the front end. Earthy, piney and a little citrus stand front and centre on a stage of muted malt. The alcohol is not prominent in the flavor so be careful! As far as DIPA’s go, this could be considered approachable, but with a bite of course.

473ml can. Pours a slightly hazy amber-gold with floaties and a small, creamy, short lived, off-white head that laces. Mild aroma of caramel malt, orange peel and piney hops. Sweet fruity flavour of grainy caramel malt, orange peel, tangerine and pine resin in a dry, bitter finish. Medium body with a slick, sticky texture and average carbonation. Was hoping for more. Slightly disappointing.

Growler - Lots of orange peel and some boozy notes. Cloudy gold with a frothy head. Orange peel, pithy bitterness and a long finish. Decent.

Good double IPA. A little bitter, oaky and astringent. Some mango and grapefruit peel but not quite as good as the page turner like a Hollywood adaption. Pours orange with decent head and lacing. Finishes very bitter with some caramel. Tap at brewpub.
