A heavy, copper colored, bittersweet and extreme hopped beer.
Extase is a Double IPA with a blend of fourteen excellent hops, very intense and with a balanced character. The slight sweetness of the malt sugars and the alcohol complement the bitterness of the beer. Extase does up to its name with its extreme hoppiness (over 100 IBU). A beer with stratification: because of the diversity of hops the beer tastes something differently with the gradual warming by every sip. A delight for every ‘hophead’.

Rich and complex aroma of malt, fruits, grapefruit, orange peel, resin. Total hop bomb. Flavour is fruity, light sweet, hoppy, with a medium bitterness in the aftertaste. Body is full. Wonderfully flavoured and well-balanced Imperial IPA from one of the finest of contemporary Belgian breweries.

Appearance: Hazy amber with a perfect off-white head. Aroma: Candied citrus fruits, caramel, pine needles & resin, esters. Taste: Medium dry. Grass, pine needles, resin, grapefruit, caramel. Medium plus bitterness. Mouth feel: Medium to full body, appropriate carbonation. Summary: Seems to be unfresh. Still, the balance is excellent.

As advertised. It is old school in the caramalt way. Classic C hops. But has a belgian styles touch. This one is a bit acrid. Gollem amstelstraat

Bottled. Hazy orangeish golden colour with a mediumsized white head. Aroma is zesty, some mild alcohol sweetness, fruits and nectar. Flavour is nectary, sweet fruity, some sweet malts, mild alcohol as well as some nice fruity and grassy bitterness in the finish. Refreshing and pleasant.
