The Tripel is a relatively recent addition to the Belgian scene. It was typically the strongest beer produced by Trappist monasteries; despite their strength, Tripels are pale, bright, crisp, and as such can be deceptively potent. The Day Tripper is no different; this brew is beautiful, radiant, and strong. Imported Belgian malts and a healthy dose of Belgian candi sugar and local honey dries out the body of this beer and provides a nice golden foundation for the estery, spicy, fruity overtones of an authentic Trappist abbey yeast strain. And since we just can't help ourselves here at The Cebruery, we decided to throw in some hibiscus and bougainvillea flowers for some added color and floral notes making this brew a "One way ticket, yeah."

Bottle - Sweet and malty. Clearish gold with a decent white head. Sweet, boozy and stone fruit. A decent triple, just not a fan of the style.

cloud amber color. Huge orange and grains of paradise nose. I would say over spiced. Thick malty body with lots of bread, oranges and grains of paradise. Fairly sweet and nearly cloying. On the verge of being bad but never goes there. Not the most balanced triple and definitely boozy but ok.
