Combining the mission figs once grown by Franciscan monks on this continent with the yeast used by Trappist monks in Europe, Dageraad Brune is our take on a classic Belgian abbey dubbel.
Dageraad Brune is refermented in the bottle, so pour with care to leave the yeast sediment in the bottle.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a cloudy dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out dark fruits, some banana, candied sugar and Belgian yeast. Flavour expresses a lot of candied sugar and fruity esters from the Belgian yeast, followed by strong undertones of banana and bubblegum. Nicely constructed, finishing sweet but not cloying. Good stuff.
