Brewed with a complex blend of specialty malts and East Kent Golding Hops. This delicious and easy drinking British style ale has notes of toasted bread, chocolate and toffee.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Dark brown color. Strong bread aroma, weak mouthfeel, not too dry, with dark bread flavor, a bit sour (rye?), and milky; that could be lactose or diacetyl. Weak final.
Not too bad, but I’m suspicious about this one.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a murky dark brown with a reddish tinge and almost no head. Aroma brings out lots of earthy notes upfront, with toasted English bready malt. Flavour is a little more pronounced, with the aforementioned earthy notes and toasted English malt. Finishes on notes of crusty bread. Decent.

Bottle - Toast and toffee with some grains. Dirty brown with no head. Light and toasty with some chocolate and a nice clean finish. Solid mild.
