A Dark and Stormy night is often a parodied phrase, but in Whistler it can only mean two things; …the snow is coming and enjoying beers by the fire. A brilliant balance of Canadian two-row & Scottish chocolate malt form the base of this exceptional beer. Nugget, Challenger, Willamette and Golding hops are then added to the boil, along with a barrel of spicy fresh ginger. Think of ginger dipped in dark chocolate and a Whistler Dark & Stormy ale will surely help you through the wind and torrid rain.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Very dark color, almost black. Mikd spicy aroma and flavor, blend of cinnamon, star anise, nutmeg, ginger; then, there is light caramel flavor, and the mouthfeel is quite dry.
Not badly brewed, just a useless concept; who would drink a full glass of this?

Draft - Cinnamon and other sweet spice with lots of molasses. Deep brown with a small white head. Sweet cardamom and cinnamon with some ginger. Spice bomb.

Very thin beige head with no solidity on top of an opaque brown body, hidden carbonation. Flavour of soda pop ginger and nothing else, almost like a natural root beer aroma. Flavour is heavy ginger, like a pickled sushi ginger, with finishing notes of malt. Drinkable but rather messy.
