Has a murky amber smokiness that should be explored and improved, but I should know better that a Vancouver brewer will quickly move to the next thing without mastering the first. Okay clear brown body and minimal head. Flavour is a smoky malt mix with no complexity and a thinness on the feel, dude my feels, this ain't hittin' it. Seems kind of smoked, a bit murky, and certainly not doing any specific thing well.

On tap at Callister, pours a clear copper with a small beige head. Aroma brings out tons of fruity esters upfront, with bubblegum and candied fruits. Flavour is less estery thankfully, but is rather harsh, with lots of phenols, red fruits, Belgian yeast and dry bready malt. Rather bitter and boozy on the finish. Needs work.

Draft - Earthy, dirty yeasts. Clear Amber with a small white head. Sweet and light bitterness with a dry finish. Very earthy and yeasty.

Draught at Callister, Vancouver
Bright amber color, hazy, with persistent head. Robust Amber Ale in the front, weaker and less characteristic later, but it has a mild character derived by the fake American-Belgian yeast, that gives stale aroma, fruity bubblegum flavor. A bit astringent and vegetable in the final.
Not too bad.
