Saison is Frans voor seizoen. Dit bier werd oorspronkelijk door Belgische boeren gebrouwen in de winter om gedronken te worden in het oogstseizoen. Cor Hooymaayers, oudeigenaar van Cafe de Beurs in Oosterhout en commissielid ABT, heeft samen met onze brouwers deze Saison Grande gebrouwen. Rijk en hoppig aan smaak en wat hoger in alcohol dan een traditionele Saison. Een prachtig bier om onze reeks aan jubileumspecials mee af te sluiten!

Aroma of hay, fruits, yeast, spices. Flavour is fruity and spicy, moderate sweetness, with a dry hoppy bitter finish. Refreshing and easy to drink.

Bottle 0,3ltr: Hazy blonde coloured brew with dry bitter taste and sweetness. I miss the peppery and spicy things thats makes an Saison, Hainault is far away from Utrecht.

Fles welke al wat langer in de winkel stond, dus dat kan de rating beïnvloeden. schenkt gouden/geel wazig met minimale witte kraag. aroma van bloemen, muffig, moutig, stro en hooi. smaken zijn redelijk zoet, licht bitter, matig sterk, sinaasappeltjes, koriander, maar ook komen de muffige, oude, smerige boerderij funky smaken terug, medium body, dun en zoals te verwachten een kruidige afdronk. nee. denk dat het bij deze éénmalige poging blijft ! --- Beer merged from original tick of Saison Grande on 23 May 2018 at 15:28 - Score: 5

Bottle 300ml.Unclear light to medium yellow color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is light malty, wheat, moderate to heavy yeasty, fruity yeast, yeast, spicy, banana notes, light citrus. Flavour is moderate sweet with a long to average duration, sweet yeast, spicy, fruity, fruity, sweet earthy notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130814]

30 cl bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is fruity, estery and light spiced. Mild spiced, peppery and dry estery. Bitter and estery dry finish.

Tap @ Kafe Belgie. Hazy golden colour, off-white head. Nose is light caramel malts, a bit sweet, some citrus and yeast. Flavour is light malted, citric, bit grassy, a bit spicy. Finish is slightly sweet. Refreshing.

Bottle thx to martinus @ benzai. Clear yellow with a small white head. Smells malts, lots of herbs and spices, some iron. Tastes lots of herbs and spices, some lemon, some hops, slightly fruity. Medium body, nice carbo.
