On tap at Callister, pours a hazy dark orange amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out dark fruits, brown sugar and a nice Belgian yeast overtone to it all. Flavour is quite estery, with dark fruits, some banana, moderate candied sweetness and Belgian yeast. Not convincingly authentic, as it is quite sweet and lacks complexity of true Belgian dubbels. Finishes sweet, estery and boozy. All in all though, it's quite good.

Draught at Callister, Vancouver
Cloudy amber color. Damn fruity esters in the aroma, and dust, then fudge. Good body strength, sweet, a bit malty, very fruity (from the yeast and malt), with low bitterness; more than an hint of vanilla. It has no depth, not enough character, just an estery big beer.
It’s not a bad beer, and in North America this passes for Belgian Abbey, but it’s a big lie, there are no beers in Belgium like this,

Draft - Raisin and dark fruit. Cloudy copper with a small head. Raisin, date and nice sweet fruity notes. A lighter dubbel, but decent.

On tap at Callister. Pours a hazy brown with a tan head. Sweet, caramel, Belgian yeasts, dark fruits. Good stuff for Belgian beer lovers.
