Bottle, split at Bruce’s pad, big thanks to Kenny 09/12/13. Light black with a thin tan covering. Nose is big espresso roast, spice, dark chocolate, light roast. Taste comprises earthy cocoa, spice, coffee blast, dark malts, touch of dark fruit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry light roast closure. Decent coffee fuelled impy - would revisit any time!

Bottle shared at Bruce’s in London - big thanks to Kenneth, pours dark brown with a bubbly tan head. Inviting aroma, nice coffee, some dark fruits, chocolate. Medium sweet flavor, tons of coffee, dark bread, earth, chocolate. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, lots of filter coffee, some roasted malts, cocoa. Good balance. I like it.

Clear dark brown to black beer, no head. Aroma: sweet malts, caramel, mocha, coffee grit, burnt caramel, vanilla. MF: soft to no carbon, medium to full body. Taste: pretty sweet, heavy caramel, alcohol, sugary, fudge, dark chocolate. Aftertaste: overripe banana, sweet, caramel, dark chocolate, mocha, some coffee, vanilla, sugary. Not bad, but a bit too sweet for my liking.

Bottle, 22oz. It’s a really dark brown beer, topped by a dense, finger-thick tan head. Lots of coffee in the aroma, really loads of it, with dark chocolate and some alcohol. A bit one-dimensional, and that goes for the flavor too. Still, it’s really wonderful. It’s lighlty warming on the palate, full-bodied and quite soft, with the coffee dominating the flavor. Long, warming and coffee dominated finish. Love the coffee in this one, but to be honest it’s sort of boring besides that. 131026
