Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours amber with a slight haze and a dense and creamy yellowish head leaving some lacework. Fat, rubbery Bamberg smoke in the nose. Medium body, some sweet malts and a distict smokiness. Ends fairly bitter. Solid craftmanship. 200111

Bottled. Clear amber color, medium head. Aroma of malt, lovely smoke like the german rauchs, bacon, hint of citrussy hop, burned wood. Dryish woody taste, sharp smoked (the good way), nice bitter touch that balances well. Good body. Lovely smoked beer like the traditional german smoked ones.

Pigs Ear. Bottle. Clear amber beer, residual tan head. Caramel creamy malt with just a little smoke, not a heavily smoked beer. Some tangy hop. Finishes dry. Well joined up and decent.

Bottled alc. 7.6% (Arkadia Alko, BB 12/2012)
Dark red color, small beige head. Strong smoke and berries in the nose, hints of barnyard. Medium-bodied. Nice smoked ham flavor, but not much else, light hops and wood. Some lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Bamberg and Saazer are there, so not totally hopeless, but I prefer Schlenkerla over this.

330ml bottle from Alko Arkadia

Note: Bottle has 7,6% ABV sticker - Pours light brown with foamy white head. Fresh aroma with hints of smoke. Has a lot of hops, which is surprising. Body is a bit too light and malty. Not much smoke on the taste.
