3 Fonteinen Oude Geuze Golden Blend is a blend of one-, two-, three-and at least 25% four-year old lambics. Spontaneous fermentation, patient maturation in oak barrels, and continued evolution in the bottle result in a distinctively complex beer.
No two bottlings are alike, as there are multiple variables in the blending process, a variety of barrel sizes and shapes, differences in aged lambic proportions, etc. When cellared properly, 3 Fonteinen Golden Blend can be aged for several decades. Traditional lambic is living, cultural heritage rooted in the Zenne valley! Bottle fermented, unfiltered and unpasteurised.

Bottle. Golden colour, small white creamy head. Very very soft in the mouth, smooth and even a little creamy. Aroma is lovely, really fruity, citrus, grapefruit, lightly funky, musky, lemon. Taste is beautiful, very light, first sips are very sour and sharp, but soon get used to it. Little bit cheesy too. Great stuff.

Corked bottle. A lot of power behind the cork. Deep golden color. Oak, lemon, grapefruit and grassy notes. Pineapple in the aroma. Sour, oaky flavor with lemon, grapefruit and leather. Young and rough at the edges but already a great geuze.

Bottle. Pours amber. Aroma and flavor are sour, sweet, bitter, fruity, oaky, funky, acidic. Finish is intense dry bitter. Overall: very good

Yesterday morning. Thanks Lucas v. Was well loved. funky gorgeous nose, dry dry nearly cider upfront lambic notes with a great short oak hint finish. Went quick!
