3 Fonteinen Oude Geuze Golden Blend is a blend of one-, two-, three-and at least 25% four-year old lambics. Spontaneous fermentation, patient maturation in oak barrels, and continued evolution in the bottle result in a distinctively complex beer.
No two bottlings are alike, as there are multiple variables in the blending process, a variety of barrel sizes and shapes, differences in aged lambic proportions, etc. When cellared properly, 3 Fonteinen Golden Blend can be aged for several decades. Traditional lambic is living, cultural heritage rooted in the Zenne valley! Bottle fermented, unfiltered and unpasteurised.

Bottle shared thanks is to sjogro. Massive deep funk and wood. Super nice, no sign of age at all, soft crisp and fresh with at the same time dry tannins and oak that gives it depth. I like.

Vintage 2011. Half champagne bottle from Piwa regionalne in Katowice. Niewielka, praktycznie minimalna piana, ale tworzy koronke w grubym szkle do Geuze. Jest dosc ciemne jak na lambicka, barwa morelowo rdzawa. W aromacie juz czuc zebrane i trzymane w wilgotnej piwnicy sporo czasu gruszki, nektarynki, brzoskwinie. W smaku kwaskowe, szczypiace winno-octowe ale ze spora dominacja miazszu owocow pomaranczowych miekkich, mialem wrazenie jakby to bylo peche lambic. Ogolnie wytrawne taninowe wykonczenie, bardzo dobre choc inne geuze, mile zaskoczenie. Pairing with my easter dinner.

Enjoyed in 2020, aged and stored personally since originally released. Hazy golden orange with a small off white head. Aroma is beautiful, everything I love about 3 Fonteinen. Deep cellar funk, cobwebs, damp, citrus, oak and green apples. Flavour is light moderate sour. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Lovely!

Bottle, 17/18, bottled 8 feb 2018. Color: Hazy orangish golden, white head. Aroma: Funk, hay, apple, appleskin. Taste: Very smooth, over moderate tart, light to moderate sweet, light bitterness. Farm barn funk, hay, fruity mix of sweet and sour apple, appleskin, grape, gooseberry. Now and than some subtle vinegar notes. Oak wood. Dry mouthfeel. Great balance, great complexity. Wow! Lovely!

Bottle for my brothers birthday. Amazing funk with plenty of cobwebs and dry cellar, dry tannic wood, light yoghurt. Amazing.

Bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is very fruity and funky. Vinegary, sour, gooseberries, grapes, barnyard. Taste is sour, green apples, light acid, vinegar, oaky, some barnyardy notes.
