3 Fonteinen Oude Geuze Golden Blend is a blend of one-, two-, three-and at least 25% four-year old lambics. Spontaneous fermentation, patient maturation in oak barrels, and continued evolution in the bottle result in a distinctively complex beer.
No two bottlings are alike, as there are multiple variables in the blending process, a variety of barrel sizes and shapes, differences in aged lambic proportions, etc. When cellared properly, 3 Fonteinen Golden Blend can be aged for several decades. Traditional lambic is living, cultural heritage rooted in the Zenne valley! Bottle fermented, unfiltered and unpasteurised.

Hazy golden orange with a white head. Aroma has big cellar funk upfront, cobwebs, dust, blue cheese notes, oak and citrus. Flavour is moderate sweet. Medium bodied with light carbonation. Lovely!

Bottle, 750 ml, shared with others. Hazy orange, white head. Super funky, fruity, juicy, manure, wood, horse blanket, bit overcarbonated.

Pours darker blonde, big, creamy white head. Smell is full, fruity, very woody. Citrus. Taste is very mellow, light tartness, oak and funk, creamy body for a lambic. Medium carbo. Extremely nice at this point in time ( September 2020 )

BB 26.10.2037. yellow hazy color, small white head. smells funky, ripe fruits, cellar funk, grassy, earthy, peppery, light horseradish, nice smell. medium body, soft carbonation. tastes citric, grassy, earthy, funky, some wood, peppery, light horseradish. finishes rather dry and lightly sour with notes of horseradish, grassy and funky notes. very nice one, the horseradish notes are not totally my thing though, prefer this a bit more brighter and citrus forward. good stuff. 7, 4, 7, 3, 16

Bottle shared at Maakun’s. Date on bottle 2014/12/12. Slightly hazy amber with greyish ring head. Soft sour grainy, flinty and metallic funky, parmesan cheesy too and also grapey and quite dry. Medium body and soft carbonation. Bit ghostly dusty powdery feel to it. Very nice. Been staring 👀 at this bottle 🍾so many times with a wish to kill 🗡kill 🗡kill🗡. Love this. Been a major anchor point in my beer experience, only had a handul of times, big stuff.
