A heavily hopped beer brewed using home-baked malt. Triporteur From Heaven is the modern version of traditional hopped ale. It is a heavenly beer brewed with home-baked BOM malt. The wheat malt in the unfiltered beer can produce a light cloudiness. The taste of Heaven remains evolving in the bottle.
The From Heaven was the first real Triporteur we brewed. Before this beer brewed an In Heaven, but this beer was only created as an try-out. The Hell was already developed when the from Heaven came on the market. This is shown by the devil who is already in the background of the label. He is running to show his beer to the baker. The recipe of this beer didn’t changed since the startup. We wanted to brew a modern version of a Belgian Blond beer. In Belgium we use the word blond for a beer what is light colored, it doesn’t matter what kind of style it really is. So it is blond, but the style? Did you know we are using an angel on the label when we use baked malt?

Bottle at home. Hazy golden with light orange hue with creamy off white head. Quite bready up front. There’s light fruits, mostly peach and apricot, and some dry herbs. Light milky yeast and some watery raw wheat. Light soap in the finish. Medium sweet and bitter. medium bodied with nice carbonation and a bit of a doughy feel.

Bottle from Brewers Haven. Medium golden, slightly hazy, thick rocky head. Robust grainy aroma. Taste also puts the grains out front, minor hop tingle at the back. Smooth and slick, nice texture to this brew. Tasty too.

Bottle from Vinoble, Fredrikshamn. Clear golden/bronze, firm lasting white head, lacings. Aroma is soft, malt, caramel, fruity hops, yeast, bread, citrusish. Taste is quite complex and drinkable, malty bready notes with slight vanilla, grassy hoppy notes with fruity esters, complex yeast in between and dry and fairly bitter finish. Medium body, medium carbo. Good balance.

Smaak is hoppig bitter en licht zoet, iets kruidig en fris, abrikoos en perzik. Smaak blijft redelijk lang hangen.

Bottle from a gift basket. Hazy golden with stable, frothy, white head. Aroma of honey, apricot, mandarin, apple, white bread, spices. Taste has sweet mandarin, low in esters but some apple noticeable, honey & bready malty base with soft spices & hay. Dryish, grassy, spicy hoppy finish, lingering yellow fruit. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Original rating: 7/2/2016. At Brugs Bierfestival 2016. 7/4/6/3/14=3.4.
