One of our most refreshing brews, made for those hot summer days, but satisfying year ’round.

Recommended serving temperature 8°C/45°F. Goes well with seafood, particularly oysters.

Bottle (500 ml). Pours a hazy light gold with a decent head at first. Aromas are a mix of honey, peaches, pears and spice. Flavor has quite a bit of fruit and honey sweetness with a kind of sticky mouthfeel. A little odd for a saison.

On draught at Gallo’s. This brew pours a hazy yellow color with a thin white head that evaporates quickly to a film. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of pineapple, lemon and wheat. Light to medium body with a zesty cirtrus character and flavors of spiced yeast, mild hops and grass. The finish is lemony with a spice aftertaste. Decent overall.

500 ml bottle into tulip, no dating. Pours hazy golden amber color with 1-2 fingers of a dense white head with great retention that reduces to a thin lacing cap. Some nice lacing clings to the glass as well. Aromas of big pepper, spices, clove, grape, apple, grass, and a bit of funk. Very nice and standard saison aromas. Taste of big spices, pepper, bread, funk, apple, and grass. A lot of spice in the taste with lingering notes of spice, pepper, and a bit of funk on the finish with some bitterness. Decent balance of flavors, but I was hoping for more fruit in the taste. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied. A bit of a creamy mouthfeel that drinks very smoothly as well. Overall, a solid saison offering.

En relativt snäll Saison. Jag saknar både kryddning, syrlighet, friskhet och spänst. Med det sagt är det ett riktigt hyfsat öl. Lite wit-liknande karaktär, lättdrucken och frisk.

50cl bottle. Pours a hazy lemon colour with a thin layer of lace on top - it seems to have surface tension and texture. The nose has a lemon, maybe pineapple sorbet. The taste has tangy orange, then yoghurt on the end. The palate is medium to big in structure, then a long dry yeasty finish. Overall, this is a good effort at a saison, a style I like.

Bottle. Stable, well made and style typical saison. The nose has got notes of sweet berries, clove and a lemon-like sourness. Taste is sour at first and finishes spicy and dry.

50 cl bottle, #619: brygget 190411, BBE 190414
Aroma has bubblegum, wheat and hints of spices and hops. Flavour is rich with wheat, bubblegum, yeast and spices. Rich palate, A bit unusual saison, but still really good.

Re-rating 5.8.2011. Cloudy amber colour with mid-thick head. Citric smell. Flavour of alcohol, citrus, nuts. Medium bitterness, lightly sour. Sharp palate, loses edge a bit when warms up.
