Rate 3.9, best before 10/24, drinking it at Haute-Nendaz, on sunday, just before my exam. Interesting and nice porter brewed on the English way, roasty, coffee, some perfumed and light spicy note, a bit fruity, aromatic, regular bitterness.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours black with nice creamy beige head. Aroma of dry dark malts, liquorice, caramel, sweet scented herbs. Taste is very much roasted dry malts, coffee, caramel, some sweetness in the middle with a tangy berry, and a hoppy herbal moderate bitter, roasty and ginger finish. Near medium bodied, slick but dry, fine carbonation.

Bottle 0,5ltr: Almost black brew with red glow and a beige foamy head. I like the forfather of the stout, taste of coffee, chocolate, ginger and well balanced sweetgbitternesh. This one i like really.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Roasted malt, dark chocolate and ginger. Can't get past the ginger.
Thanks Simon. Malty dry beginning. Nice caramel, roast, dry bitterness. Caramel, roast with a caramelly bitter dry back. Dry, roasted grain. Bitter dry in the end with dry dark chocolate with hints of Espresso. Nice.

Almost black with a creamy, beige head that lingers. Aroma of fudge and something herbal, vaguely ginger possibly although I’d never pick it out as such without knowing beforehand. Taste is bittersweet, a nice mix of toffee sweetness and hoppy bitterness and a touch of ginger bite. Body is medium, carbonation mild, texture trends watery, which is the only real flaw here, but I generally prefer beers of this style with slightly more heft. Good.

Bottle. Nose is roast, coffee, ash, smoke. Taste is smokey, ash leading to a burst of ginger, coffee pot coffee, fruity notes in the light sour finish which retains the heat from the ginger. It's solid and the ginger is well balanced to my taste

Aus der Flasche 2015-05 getrunken. Dieses klassiche Porter birkt keine echte Überraschungen und der Körper ist recht leicht. Es ist ein gute Begleiter zum Essen.
