Thanks TimE for sharing! Taster showing dark brown with sparse latte colored foam. The nose shows moderately intense sweet notes of bourbon and light roasted malts. The palate is well carbonated and medium bodied with a light alcoholic spice. Light bourbon throughout on a bed of roasted malts and a light coffee bitterness on the finish.

Pitch black color. Modest roasted malt, dark chocolate, the bourbon has fairly faded but really well integrated. The alcohol is like non Existent for 11.9%. Mouth feel is just ok. Not overly complex but man I could have a pint

Tasting at Matt’s
Black color, generous brown head. Quite nice chocolate flavor, the aroma is mild and with too much alcohol; some carboard; medium sweetness; not bad, but a bit over the top and not fully convincing.

650ml at Matt’s. Pours a very dark brown with a brown head. Aroma and taste are bourbon barrels, saddle, roasted malt, woody, slightly buttery, smooth. Bourbon, roasted malt, caramel aftertaste. Good stuff.

650mL bottle, pours back with a small tan head. Aroma is very complex, with notes of bourbon, toffee and light roast. Flavour is complex, with notes of dark fruits, bourbon barrels, cocoa and alcohol. Fairly thick palate. Complex but also a little messy. Really nice.

Bottle - Dark sugars, molasses and some bourbon notes. Jet brown with a nice brown head that dissipates quickly. Dark molasses, raisin dark chocolate and a nice long finish. Solid.

Oh, praise be to the better species that someone’s uploaded a pic of this stuff already. Note to self, gotta youtube George Carlin’s "stuff" bit after this. Somehow The Neverending Story has disappeared into my downloads, hope I can find it tomorrow when I’m reasonably sober. Not much going on these days, at least I get a new brewster’s here and there. This stuff’s pourin’ deep and black with a brown head, serious brown head, like you been dreamin’ of for a stout. eh. It’s got a good watery barley aroma but little else, nothing too exciting, some promise, though nothing disgusting on the nose given the 12 percent alcs and all. Flavour is all of that haloween candy we used to get in B.C. around this time: sweet caramel. Like the bottle rockets and roman candles are going off all round you and you’re like "trick or treat!!!" in your ghost costume down by the elementary school and they pile up your pillow sack with this shit. It’s sweet and harsh caramel stuff, you get home hoping for a few kit-kats or cadbury crunchie’s or something, can’t eat the candied apples because some st00pid pedo put razor blades in the mix. Just meh, sadly, drinkable, will get you smashed but it’s like "where’s the good candy" is what you’re askin’ as your parents drag you inside while the pre-teen kids get the bottle rockets ready and start firing the roman candles off at your windows. You’re stuck inside thinkin "wtf... need real candy" kinda stuff. Wells ya. Too sweet for that, eh.
