Most definitely, this first and foremost a wheat ale. You can taste the wheat from start to finish. A faint toasted note from the addition of flaked oats is present in the beer as well. This is a light bodied beer that finishes with a spicy layer in the end. The overall impression should be an easy-to-drink refreshing ale.

Pours nearly clear gold with white head. The aroma has a nice load of wheat and milder notes of yeasty spice and even milder esters and banana. Yum smelling. The taste is smooth but doesnβt get all the way to being crisp β refreshing. Starts with big wheat and a mild level of acidic tartness. It moves along to midway and the finish getting even smoother and more blended. Nice stuff. Seems to have the smoothness of age without the aid of aging.

750 ml bottle courtesy of bvc. Pour is cloudy yellow golden with a smallish white head. Aroma of earthy hay, wheat, and some light coriander spiciness. Herbal, menthol, some clove. Taste is herbal, sweet honey and the wheat grassiness. All the flavors are nicely integrated, though the overall effect is a bit subdued. Really didn’t get any of the grapefruit.

Bottle from San Diego Drug. Hazy light gold color with a creamy white head. Aromas of spice, coriander and citrus. Near medium body with mild carbonation. Flavor has some banana!, some wood, some citrus zest, or coriander. Finish is pretty dull - which is not a bad thing. A little astringent. A subdued superb wit. There’s a spritely sweet note that threads throughout.

Pours gold into a tumbler. White head recedes to nothing. Clove aromas. Sweet malts, wheat and marshmallows upfront with a dry, clovey corriander and grapefruit finish.

From tap at the brewery. Pours clear and golden yellow, slight cloudy and with a small white head. Mild estery wheaty aroma with a light banana fruity note. Mild wheaty and light fruity flavour. Light and a bit watery. Ends with a mild fruity/estery flavour. Wellmade but too wheaty/yeasty/estery for my liking.6-3-6-3-11=2.9
