Light gold in colour, bursting with citrus and tropical hop flavours and sensationally refreshing. The original UK Citra. In 2009 on his annual hop sourcing visit to the USA, Oakham's Brewing Director John Bryan discovered an exceptional new hop variety - Citra. He rushed it to the UK, ensuring that Oakham Ales were the first UK brewery to brew a beer with 100% Citra hops and maintaining Oakham's reputation for pioneering innovation. ABV: 4.2% in cask, 4.6% in bottle.

Bottle from SIPS at home with Steph. Clear deep golden pour with minimal head. Aroma is subtle - some citrus hops. Taste follows - some citrus but mostly just clean bitterness. Not bad, but not that special. Some lasting bitterness which is nice. Body isn't as light as expected in a good way.

Pours a dark orange color with creamy white head. Wonderful smell of hops and fruits. Light body with medium carbonation. Texture is nice and smooth. Taste of hops is just awesome and further enriched with flavours of grapefruit and herbs. This one is incredibly refreshing and smooth. Finish is bitter and dry, leaving you with fruity aftertaste and cravings for more. Overall, awesome beer. Very, very tasty. Cheers!

A clear bright gold colour with a small white head. Fresh floral aroma with a big citrus (grapefruit) punch. Crisp and refreshing, some sweetness, medium bitter flavour with a dry bitter finish.

500ml bottle. Clear golden colour, small but lasting white head with some lacing. Aroma is very hoppy - purely tart citrus fruits - grapefruit, orange rind, mango, some floral. Flavour is refreshingly citric, if a little overpowering in that respect. Low carbonation so a nice mouthfeel. Bittersweet citrus finish.

33cl bottle@ Athens Craft Beer Expo (Zythognosia), during a food+beer pairing workshop. Was superbly paired with Secreto Imperico pork pancetta marinated into caramelized malts and coated with coffee beans, over a malt cookie. Pours dark orange with rich off-white head, good lacing, medium body. Beautiful aromas of citrus, orange peel, fruits, floral. Hoppy in general, with hints of cookies, caramel and malts on the tongue. A great IPA, and a mouth-watering pairing. Excellent experience! This week on tap @Pulp Pub, Koukaki. I’d love to have another pint!

Bottle. Nose is grapefruit, , malt, slight cereal, faint hint of butterscotch. Taste is pleasingly bitter grapefruit, hint of lime, ripe lychee, almost a rye note, biscuit malt, and a herbal note. This is much better than I was expecting, very nice indeed.
