Bottle courtesy of 77ships, thanks! Hazy ruby red color, thick ponk jead. Aroma of softly sour root vegetables and cherries. Taste is bitter roots, herbs, cranberries.

Bottle at Huppel The Pub, Den Haag. Poured a hazy dark brown with a reddish hue and a broken off white head. The aroma is crisp and yeasty. The flavour is sharp, yeasty, a little alcoholic and with some red berries on the palate. A very drinkable beer from Jopen.

Jopen has the worst glass ever ! Pours red/ brown , small white foam Smell is sugary malts , taste is likewise , bit german malts , too. Meh , had way better beers

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, 18IC bottle code. Pours very hazy and cloudy reddish brown color with a 2 finger foamy khaki head with poor retention, that reduces to a ring of lace. No lacing at all on the glass. Aromas of apple skin, pear, caramel, raisin, molasses, herbal, floral, pepper, clove, earth, anise, and yeast spiciness. Very nice and interesting aromas with good balance and complexity. Really wasn’t sure what to expect. Taste of big apple, pear, pepper, caramel, toast, molasses, raisin, herbal, floral, earth, clove, and yeast spiciness. Lingering notes of light fruit, raisin, caramel, molasses, pepper, herbal, toast, earth, clove, and yeast spices on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and flavor complexity; good malt/spice balance; almost zero cloying flavors present on the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a fairly slick, prickly, and crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a small warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice imperial gruit ale. This was very interesting and I wasn’t sure what to expect from it. There is nice flavor complexity and balance; and it is quite smooth to sip on. Very enjoyable and unique offering.

300ml bottle. Clear darkest red with average, firm, frothy, moderately lacing, off-white head. Dark malty aroma with fruity notes of dark berries, dry overtones with minimal hints of leather. Taste is dark malty with minimal hints of chocolate and a touch of mint, converting to fruity notes of dark berries.

Bottle sample at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks Tom. Clear deep shiny reddish amber. Aroma of malt, pears, carambola, other fruitiness, a bit of alcohol and a bit of licorice hints. Sweet flavor with caramel, fruits and light spiciness. Medium-bodied.

Bottle @ Voldby Ølmesse. Pours hazy reddish brown with a offwhite head. Aroma of malt, candy sugar, dark fruits, sweets. Flavor is malt, candy sugar, berries, dark fruits, light spicy. Medium body, soft carbonation, light alcohol in the finish. 250812

Clear orange to amber beer, big aery beige head, unstable, little adhesive. Aroma: sweet, caramel, malts, very spicy, grains, all-bran. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: butterscotch, quite spicy, little sugary, herbal, bitter touch, liquorish, more spices. Aftertaste: sugary, caramel, touch of mocha, dried fruits, lots of spices, pretty bitter ending.

Bottle @ home. Ruby red to brown colour with a small off-white head. Smells very herbal, sweet and strong. Tastes weird, herbs, liquorice (a lot). Im not a liquorice fan so i don’t like the taste. Full body, good carbo. It’s quite a good beer but not my taste.
