A pale orange beer with a huge ligth oragne head. The aroma has very strong notes of fruit, both mango and peaches, grapes, and oranges, on a sweet back ground, and with light spicy notes of cinnamon - a very complex aroma. The flavor is very sweet with an alcohol, that attacks right from the start combined with a weird spicy note that mixes in with the complex fruity notes - again mango and peaches are very evident. Toward the end the fruitiness diminishes and then the weird spicy note with some peber in it gets stronger, leading towards the sweet slightly sticky end. The alcohol leaves a slight burn on the palate. I love the aroma, but the flavor is not as good.

Bottle, 8.5%. Golden with lasting white head. Aroma of sweet peach and hop/yeast. Slightly syrupy and strong alcohol. Sweet peach and orange zesty flavour. Bit too alcoholic for me with a good attack of hops on the end. Bit of mustiness too.

Slightly hazy dark golden color, fizzy, head is quickly vanishing. Aroma has sweet banana, peach, a bit of yeast. Medium-bodied. Acidy together with sweetness. Palate is a bit empty, carbonated mouthfeel. Sour apple, yeast, alcoholic warming in the finish. Drinkable, but somehow unbalanced. Not much Christmas found here, only red jacket which babe in the label is wearing.

(Bottle 33 cl) This is the original version from "Brasserie Duwac" in Mouscron (closed 1999). Comes in a "fake" ceramics bottle (painted glass). Pale golden with a huge and insisting head. Fresh, malty nose and very malty throughout with a very present alcohol. Strong and not very refined. 100699

Bottle Clear, blond body. Lots of bubbles. Off-white, fizzy-frothy head. Alcoholic, perfume aroma. Moderately bitter initial flavour, lightly bitter finish. Way too alcoholic palate.

Yellow gold, totally clear; slim ring of white. Alcoholic nose, very pale malt-beer, even grainy. Taste is alcohol again, very dry and very much grain. very dry - and yet sweet. And NO character but the alcohol. Another Huyghe alcohol punch. Don't go out of your way finding it. So-called brewery "Duwac" doesn't brew at all.

Triple weizen like. Is this going to be a new style or something. Reminded me strong of those Unibroue beers, La Maudite for example. So, it's quite ok. Cloudy yellow color, big white head. Aroma is banana, spicy. Sweet spicy banana hefeweizen taste. Bit sticky palate.

Golden color. Despite the age, the aroma is fresh, with some malty fruitness. The flavor shows some ageing, almost flat on the tongue, with some malt that is tired and starts getting old.
2002-11-10, Bottle, 5-4-6-3-12=30
Golden colour, generous head. Strong, too sweet, spicy (coriander).
