Double Jack is back, exclusively in the Merlin's Mixed Pack. Intensely hoppy yet supremely balanced, Double Jack is our signature double IPA that still stands strong today. The Merlin's Mixed Pack - named after our longtime brewmaster Matt "Merlin" Brynildson - also works its magic with three complementary IPAs: Easy Jack, Luponic Distortion IPA and the West Coast legend known as Union Jack.

355ml bottle from Brewdog online store. Pours a clear orange amber colour with a frothy white foam head leaving lacing and aroma of caramel, mango, citrus & pine resin, earthy, hoppy. Flavour is sweetish malt caramel nicely balanced with tropical fruits, peach, floral orange, grapefruit & pine, grassy bitterness. Oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation, dry earthy bitter finish. Very drinkable DIPA!

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 26 Sep 2014) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with grapefruit, citrus, honey, hints of basil and lots of fresh hops. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of grapefruit, pine needles, biscuits, peaches and a solid, fresh, citric bitterness in a finish with a slight alcohol bite. Almost full body, with balanced sweetness. Excellent DIPA with an impressive hop character. Lovely beer!

Orangebrun klar med høyt beige skum. Lukter sitrus, ananas og fersken. Bittersøt smak, mye frisk sitrussødme. Kjenner alkoholen. Bitterheten sitter lenge.

Bottle sampled @ Firestone Walker Tasting. Thank you! BBF 10/04/2015. Golden, creamy white. Nose is yeast, citrus, thick dough, honey. Taste is honey, medicinal, citrus peel, caramel, faint pine, decent yeast body. Prob. too old, too yeasty & not really my thing. Okayish. “Instructions were not clear, got penis stuck in bottle.”

From notes, 4 oz draft pour consumed on 5/18/2013 at ChurchKey. Clear shiny golden with off-white head. Nice lacing. Aromas of citrus, pine, resin, honey. Tastes of big grapefruit, pine, floral hops. Medium body with a semi-dry finish. Juicy mouthfeel. Medium carbonation. Fantastic Imperial IPA.

Light bronze, aroma has grapefruit but also a little chewy pale and crystal malt. A touch of citrus and melon brightness, and lots of chewy with a dash of alcohol. Doesn’t really meet firestone’s standards.
