Like a stamp on a tramp, this beer is about not so subtle seduction. Soft but complex malts, Chambly yeast, sweet orange peel, Columbus, Amarillo, and Centennial hops have merged to create a bodacious Belgian IPA.

Bottle. Musty/yeasty orange and grapefruit peel aroma. Hazy golden yellow with large head. Sweet orange malt, musty yeast, and mildly bitter orange peel flavor. Very nice beer.

Bottle 0.66l at Bar Molotow, Helsinki. Bottled 1/2012. Colour is dark orange with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Belgian yeast, hops, fruits, citrus and malts.

This beer pours a hazy orange-amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. The aroma is citrusy with yeast and hops notes. Medium-bodied with flavors of hops, tropical fruit and earthy yeast. The finish is moderately bitter with a citrusy hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

From the 2011 MWBF. Goes down like an American IPA. A lot of citrus and pine in the smell. Pours a nice orangey color with a fizzy head. Very forward on the citrus and the pine on the tongue, with a backing of Crystal malt.

Medium, rather dense cream-coloured head over orange-amber beer, well-carbonated. Outspoken fruity nose, fruit on caramel, preserved oranges on syrup, hint @ thyme. Very estery-yeasty. Bitter/ish, slightly burnt, undertone of caramel and syrup. Again some esters, if less fruity (some hints at peach and bitter oranges, all the same). Slightly burning feel, quite spritzy, certain syrupy slickness; very light alcohol- (or even fusels)suggestion. Another example that trying to marry USA hops with presumably Belgian yeast, is in no way a guarantee for greatness.

From a 355 ml bottle on 21/6/2013. pours a slightly cloudy dark golden with a small to medium head. Has a strong aroma of Belgian yeast, and citrus and tropical fruit. The flavour begins with lashings of sweet orange which is met quickly by orange peel, and a very dry, spicy, peppery hop finish. The tart/sour/bitter combo just keeps lingering in the mouth long after the liquid is gone. A very impressive, in your face Belgian style IPA.

Bottle. Amber with a large off-white head that lasts and laces well. Aroma of oranges, pine, dough, cloves, pepper. Sweet oranges and caramel, some tropical fruit, grapefruit and pine cut through. Dryish finish with moderate bitterness, lingering pine and spices. The aroma suggested that this was going to be full of oranges, but they just play their part. The flavours are only pretty good, but it’s very nicely put together. Fun.

Draft. Amber beer with a cream head. Spice aroma. Grapefruit and spice flavor with light yeast. Medium bodied. Grapefruit and spice linger with light yeast and light summer fruit.

Bottle. Pours hazy butterscotch amber with a medium off-white head that dissipates with nice lacing. Aroma is citrus, yeast, bready malt. Flavor is the same, citrus forward, lightly sweet with a light bitter body increasing in bitterness at the finish as the orange peel kicks in and adds zesty, lightly bitter tones. Definitely Belgian yeast character throughout. Pretty good beer - would be better without the orange peel, I think.

Pours deep amber with a small head.Nose shows herbal hops and spicy Belgian notes along with orange blossom and light sweet malt.Pretty aggressive flavour. Some spicy Belgian notes and earthy, herbal hops before a little malt shows up to be swallowed by the assertive sharp bitterness.Too much carbonation.
