Rich and bold, this strong ale exhibits notes of oak, vanilla, caramel, plum/raisin and roastiness after aging on toasted oak for an extended period, while its 9% ABV is easily masked, drinking smooth.

Bomber. Pours a dark copper color with a small to medium white head. A big malty sweet nose. Very sweet toffee, leather, caramel, some light oak and tannins. Fruity at times but refined sweetness. Great beer.

22oz bottle 397 of 1000. Pours out a amber copper topped with a sand head. Nose is oak toffee caramel. Taste is more of the nice oak toffee light fruit and a mild end.

2016 vintage bottle #499 of 1000 from Albertsons. Strong malt presence, lots of wood notes. Aroma is woody, taste favors the malts. Lots of emphasis on the oak. Tempered, sip and enjoy.. this one grows on you

Bottle - Sweet caramel and a touch of oak.clearish copper with a dent white head. Sweet and bitter caramel notes. A bit underwhelming and lacking complexity.

Tasting at Matt’s, silver wax, bottle 737/1000
Dark amber color, small head. Mild bourbon aroma, candy, light fruity esters; sweetish, caramel flavor, but also an unreasonable amount of vegetables.
Not pleasant.

22 oz. bottle, pours a dark caramel orangey brown with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out dark fruits, especially raisins and plums, with notes of caramel, oak and vanilla. Flavour is similar, with vanilla, oak and dark fruits. Well-balanced and nicely rounded. Good stuff.
