Pleasant sour aroma with a bit of vinegar, cherries, other fruits, some funk, a hint of olives and vinous notes. Sour roasty flavor with some fruits, a bit of vinegar, coffee notes, some funk and some bitterness in the finish. Medium to full-bodied. Very nice. I thought this was intentionally sour, but now I see some of the ratings don’t mention any sourness or funk, so I guess it’s not supposed to be that way - I really liked it anyway. 7/5/7/4/14=3.7

Pours black No foam Draft at beertemple Smell is sour , but in a bad way ( cleaning products ) Taste is pretty plastic . Not that good on the sour side , nor on the stout side

On tap at Beer Temple. Black, no head. Aroma of sauerkraut and berries, coffee, bitter chocolate. Flavour is sauerkraut, berries, vinegar, some balsamic vinegar, sour-roast finish. Medium-bodied. I found this to be quite unpleasant.

(Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 27 July 2013) Black colour with foamy, brown head. Malty, roasted nose with coffee, chocolate, vinegar, stable and grapefruit. Malty, roasted taste with notes of coffee, dark fruit, lactic acid, grapefruit, green grapes and dark bread. More than medium body, quite dry. Gentle bitterness. I didn’t expect it to be sour, but the funk actually works quite well. Nice one.

Bottle @ barbecue tasting. Black with a small beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, soy sauce and red wine. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and roasted moderate bitter finish with warming alcohol. 030813

Bottle @ Beder Grillsmagning. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate, soy, cheese, wood, coffee and hops. Little sour.
