Our bartender Brendan lent his whiskers and his muscles to brew this Extra Special Bitter dry hopped with East Kent Holdings. Try this well balanced ESB and meet Brendan. He’s the one with the beard.

Draught at the brewpub
Amber color, clean. Light aroma of caramel and butter. Round mouthfeel for the style, a bit more residual sugars than the average, caramel flavor, and some diacetyl again. A bit metallic in the final.
Not totally bad, but clearly flawed.

On tap at Irish Caskival at YBC. Pours a clear amber. Aroma is fruity, flower, caramel. Taste is flower and hops bitterness. Bitter aftertaste.

On tap at Yaletown, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out English bready malt and restrained hopping. Flavour unfortunately has some diacetyl notes, along with English bready malt. Very restrained hopping. Some problems here - fix the diacetyl issue.

Draft - Caramel, touch of dark fruit. Clear copper with a decent beige head. Caramel and twig with some dark fruity and butterscotch notes. Decent.
