Mørk brun med ok beige skum. Lukter av malt kaffe, karamell og noe røk. Kaffe preger også smaken sammen med noe sødme. Medium fylde og relativ kort ettersmak.

50cl bottle from Vinmonopolet Kiellandsplass, Oslo. Pours hazy dark brown with a small, tan head. Mild malty aroma with some roasty notes, caramel, dark fruits and hints of fruits and Belgian yeast. Medium sweet with pleasant, but quite mild flavours. Some bitterness in the finish. Nothing wrong, but a bit anonymous. Pretty sure it would work well to food.

Bottle. Pours hazy coffee brown with airy light tan head. Clear aroma of coffee, malt, and fruit. Bitter, roasty flavour, with notes of hops, coffee, malt and liquorice, and hints of fruit. Bitter aftertaste. Lively carbonation. A nice one.

500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours dark reddish-tinged brown, no head. Aromas of chocolate malt, cereal and iron. Taste has chocolate and coffee, decent balance of bitter and sweet. Medium body, slick texture, short finish. Not the most exciting beer they’ve ever done, but solid enough.

Hazy red - amber beer with a good pale tan head. Palate is slightly soft with good minerally carbonation. Malt is thin and slightly creamy and carries a whisper of smoke. Forensic trace of hops. Semi dry finish. Deathly dull.

Bottle at Naboen, Bergen. Pours an unclear brown colour with a small beige creamy head. Aroma of dried fruit, leather, chocolate, some coffee and some nice roasted tones. Some of the same stuff in the flavour but is more malty with wood and nuts. Balanced and nice. Has a slick mouth feel, and a light bitterness. An incredibly balanced and easy-drinking dark Belgian ale.

Litt generisk og slett ikke så 'belgisk' som jeg hadde forestilt meg - eller er et bare forkjølelsen min som spiller meg et puss.
