Draft - A bit of toast and cocoa. Deep jet brown with a rich beige heat. Cocoa and some toast with a light bitter finish. Not bad. --- Beer aliased from original tick of East Town Nut Brown on 07 Feb 2017 at 15:44 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6. Original review text: Bottle - Roast and nutty notes with a touch of twig. Deep brown with a rich beige head. Dark malts, sweet nutty notes and light body. Bitterness that balances sweetness.

Draught at the brewery, as East Bound Brown Ale (Nov 26th)
Brown color, small head. Very cold; a bit of roasted malts; I have the impression it has less chocolate than the East Town Brown, and it’s more watery; ordinary bitterness.
Nothing wrong, just boring like most on style English Brown Ales. --- Beer aliased from original tick of East Town Nut Brown on 11 Jan 2016 at 20:00 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 5 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 5.5. Original review text: Draught at the brewery
Dark brown color, the head is short lived. Dry and almost thin, very strong flavor of heavily roasted malts, a bit burnt in the final. I’m still not entirely sure what a Brown Ale is supposed to deliver, but what I get here is not much. Very light glue in the aroma. At least, no diacetyl this time. --- Beer merged from original tick of East Town Brown on 19 Nov 2015 at 03:26 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 5.5. Dark brown color, near black, with almost no head. Served too cold. Aroma and flavor have a bit of chocolate, which is appreciated, mild roasted nuts presence, the body is very weak, and the final is short.
Not a bad beer, but it’s a shallow offer.

Some roast and light hops. Dark brown pour with pretty good lacing. Tangy finish. Good grain profile. Tap at brewery.

On tap at Off the Rail, pours a deep dark brown with a reddish tinge and a small beige head. Nose brings out notes of bready malt, some toffee and a little caramel. Flavour is very malty, with lots of caramel, toffee and bready malt. Nice sweetness imparted here without cloying at all. Quite full-bodied for a brown with a good balance. Very good.
