At the source: pours murky brown with small head. Aroma is fruity, yeasty, bready. Taste is fruity... not in the typical weizen way though. Fortunately not sweet. Easy drinking.

On tap at Callister, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small tan head. Aroma is quite earthy, with bready notes, toasted nuts and an earthy character. Flavour is fruitier than the nose suggested, with red fruits, toasted malt, and earthy cocoa notes on the finish. Fairly dry despite the red fruits upfront. Solid stuff, though could use more robustness.

Draught at Callister
Cloudy dark amber-mahogany color, medium sized head. Sweetish and soft Dunkelweizen, a bit dusty, with light banana esters and yeast spices, but also a feeling of old coconut oil; light astringency in the final.
Not too bad.
