Enjoyed on draft at Hop and Hound. Really thought I had rated this before. Cool to find a style that is at least somewhat unusual to find barrel aged. This is an incredibly tasty red. A complete standout in my opinion. Smooth flavor, cool front, interesting, flavorful malt profile, all the barrel notes without being boozy. Oak, slight whiskey, the slightest hint of spice. An exceptional red here.

Draft - Woody, touch of sweet caramel. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Sweet Woody notes with some decent hops.

On tap at WA Winter Beer Festival 2015, pours a hazy deep dark amber orange with a small white head. Aroma is harsh on the whiskey notes, with lots of heat, whiskey and smoke. Flavour is abrasive as fuck, with loads of smoke, alcohol and whiskey. No red ale discernible here - all alcohol and smoked whiskey. Not very pleasant.
