The crew crafted this amber-colored beauty by fermenting a smooth, malty Lager in third-use whiskey barrels, giving it a tinge of oak and plenty of character.
Tasting Notes
Smooth sips deliver caramel tones kissed by a whisper of fruity esters while touches of barrel char and woody vanilla accentuate the complexity. And it all comes with a refreshingly crisp body.

On tap at Holy Mountain, pours a hazy dark orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out a fair amount of oak upfront, followed by whiskey and a touch of bready malt. Flavour is more restrained and well-balanced, with subtle notes of oak and even subtler whiskey coming through. Bone dry palate, with almost no malty sweetness. Certainly more interesting than most California commons, but still not terribly exciting. Decent.
