The crew crafted this amber-colored beauty by fermenting a smooth, malty Lager in third-use whiskey barrels, giving it a tinge of oak and plenty of character.
Tasting Notes
Smooth sips deliver caramel tones kissed by a whisper of fruity esters while touches of barrel char and woody vanilla accentuate the complexity. And it all comes with a refreshingly crisp body.

Can from Tavour. Pours clear mahogany with a large creamy light tan head that persisted. Aroma is toffee with perhaps Noble hop. Pretty dry. Nicely bitter. There are some wood notes. Good lager

Draft half pour at Holy Mountain. Home of the greatest brewery sticker (IMO) in the Seattle area. Stopping in as part of our opening day celebration crawl. Copper pour with a soap bubble head. Dry, oak heavy aroma. Orange fruit, and tons of oak and dry malt. Slight smoked character. One of a kind lager for sure. Damn good.

Draft - Very light grains on the nose. Cleanish copper with a small white head. Tons of oak, cooked orange and grains with a bitter woody finish.

On tap at Holy Mountain, pours a hazy dark orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out a fair amount of oak upfront, followed by whiskey and a touch of bready malt. Flavour is more restrained and well-balanced, with subtle notes of oak and even subtler whiskey coming through. Bone dry palate, with almost no malty sweetness. Certainly more interesting than most California commons, but still not terribly exciting. Decent.
