Bomber from Craft Beer Kings. Pours a ruddy brown, not dark dark, with a slight beige head. Aroma of some interesting fruits. Kind of musty grape. Med body at least. Flavor is grape, with perhaps some med dark fruits, and dry, dry malt. What a contradiction there. It is very like drinking a dry red wine - well more than a sweetish malty thing. Suggests wood. This is amazingly well done. Not a trace of heat. Not getting significant Belgian yeast aspects. This is a beer that goes beyond the standard. With some time I think I’m getting a bit of heat. Anyone rating this stuff should take some deep thoughts about appreciating the exceptional and unexpected.

Tap - Raisin and a bit of earthy notes. Deep cloudy maroon with a light beige head. Dirty earthy and raisin notes.

On tap at Bailey's, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma is fairly boozy, with perfumey floral notes, bready notes and toasted nuts. Flavour is very messy and earthy, with dirt, earthy notes, yeast and light dark fruitiness. Very messy and filthy. Not well-constructed. Not a disaster but it's okay.

Cask ... yup a 10% Quad on cask, at Acoustic Ales tasting room, SD, 19/04/14. Opaque dark mahogany brown with a moderate light beige covering that retains well. Nose is bubblegum, toffee, spice, yeast esters, banana. Taste comprises fruit loaf, toffee, boozey tones, dates, yeast esters, dark fruit rinds, light spice. Full bodied, soft carbonation, boozey fruit laden curtain call. Ok quad, a little heavy going at times and a brave choice for cask dispense but they just about pulled off a drinkable sipper here!
