The taste is slightly tart but also fruity and round which makes this Quetsche à l’ancienne may be more accessible for non-experts or less sophisticated palates. It also has a slight dryness from the skin of the plums. The nose perceives a plum brandy perfume.

Slightly muddy. Plum is there, but not clearly expressed. Nice tartness

21/22 version. Lovely tart fruit profile that has a light sweetness. Lightly funky, Brett, sour, and must. Dry mouth. Finish is somewhat puckering. Absolutely delicious.

Semmi hab, félbarna szín. Savanykás, szilvás, leheletnyit animális illat. Savanyú, szilvás, kissé animális és fehérboros ízek. Könnyű, közepesen szénsavas, csak leheletnyit kesernyés. Finom, jó arányokkal rendelkező sör.

Bottle for Aaron, thanks Stefan! Muddy rhubarb color. Nose is herbal tea, sour prunes, shandy. Taste is front heavy sour, but then fruity dry. A tad too harsh, and too sour, could be more balanced. But definately had worse.

Bottle at Frisches beer, courtesy of SinH4, for @@ b-day! Hazy amber-orange golden body, not much head. Funky, bretty aroma, underlying plum. Sweetish-sour taste, hay and plum, ending herbal, dry and bitterish, light glue. Quite tasty!

Bottle, thanks Stefan! Cloudy amber, low white head. Tart, vineous, light leafy nose, fairly dry tart, astringent start. Dry mouthfeel, plum skin aromatics retronasal, leathery, fairly sour.
