Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Cloudy amber color. The aroma is a bit spicy, malty, also a bit dusty. Lean, quite dry mouthfeel; caramel malts, strong feeling of roasted nuts and dust, some cereal husks, some hop resins, but there is more vegetable character than hop quality.
Not flawed, just a weird concept to start with. Makes you wonder why they made this, what did they expect from it.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a cloudy bright reddish amber with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out earthy dry hopping upfront, with a toasted dry caramel malt base - smells nothing like an ESB due to the American hops. Flavour is along the same lines, with fairly potent earthy dry hopping upfront, with a robust toasted caramel bready malt backbone. Nicely constructed in that it certainly packs a punch. However, it's bit harsh and incoherent. All in all, good effort but could use some refinement.

Draft - Sweet toffee. Clear copper with a rich off white head. Very sweet, leafy hops, perfumy and a sweet finish. Odd.
