Draft - Lots of malts, caramel and toast. Clear copper with a decent white head. Toffee, twig and a dry bitterness. Not bad.

On tap at Yaletown, pours a clear amber with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out bready malt - not much else. Flavour is quite robust, with bready malt, a touch of dry caramel and actually an ample resinous hop quality. Good balance of flavours here. Very nice atypical alt.

Draught at the brewpub
Dark amber color, clean, with compact head. Overall it has a good character of medium caramel, toasty malts, a bit biscuity; light residual sweetness, and a good bitterness level; possibly with a trace of diacetyl in the nose.
Very good Altbier.
