Bottle from Beers Of Europe, Kingโs Lynn
Very dark color, almost black; small head; the pour is thin. Light aroma, some roasted malts and some yeast. Lean and dry mouthfeel; moderate flavor of roasted malts and chocolate, a bit herbal, with traces of yeast. Correct bitterness.
It has some feeling of dirty water, and minor flaws; not exceptional, but not bad.

Bottle. Clear brown color, scant large bubble head. Aroma of chocolate liqueur and coffee. Taste is slightly boozy bitter cocoa.

500ml bottle. Clear dark brown colour with huge, creamy, superbly lasting, beige head. Dark malty, chocolately aroma with grainy overtones. Taste is dark malty, toasty, has milk chocolate and dark chocolate notes, a fresh, minimally tart and husky overtone.

500ml bottle - pours near black with a thick foamy white head. Aroma of roast nuts and malts. First kick of cocoa and dark chocolate, afterwards bitter and lasting mocha taste. Good mouthfeel for a bottle.

Handpump at the Marble Arch, Manchester. Small off white head. Clear dark ruby pour. Nice brew.

Gravity cask @ In De wildeman. Almost black color, no head. Aromaโs of fruit, cocoa, raisin, roast. Flavor is slightly sweet, chocolate, upcoming bitterness. Very little carbonation. Finishes dry and rather bitter with hints of cocoa.

Deep black body. Lightly brown, creamy head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate with a smokey and winy touch. Flavour of malts and hops: heavily bitter, lightly sweet. Very interesting. I think this is one of the first beers I had that combine chocolate malts and hops as well as this one. Very nice.

Creamy black colour (opaque is the word I believe), small cream head. Malty aroma, chocolate, roasted malts, coffee. Rather dry and creamy, light carbonation. Flavour quite bitter chocolate, vanilla, rather light, where are the roasted malts so prominent in the aroma?
