#MashTag was an epic experiment in crowdsourcing, which handed the keys to the brewery over to craft beer drinkers for a week. We asked you guys via Facebook and Twitter to direct all the elements of the brew and you decided to brew a 7.5% American Brown Ale with oak chips and hazelnuts.

Bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours dark brown with a good creamy head. Nose has liquorice and subtle coffee notes, touch of vanilla. Taste has more coffee, oak and nuts. Good mouthfeel, good finish, solid beer.

33cl bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Pours opaque black and has an attractive white/fawn head which subsides slowly. The nose has a intriguing liquorice edge with nuts and oak coming out later. The taste has chocolate, nuts, creaminess. Some oakiness at the end. Medium bodied with a substantial mouthfeel and good length. Yep, a good beer,.
