TSAR is rich and powerful, a full bodied Imperial Stout. Malty chocolate, mocha and dark berry fruit-notes preside over a subtle hop profile, whilst a smooth velvety texture in the mouth gives way to a lingering bitter, dark chocolate finish.

Bottle from House of Trembling Madness bottle shop, York. Nearly black, with lots of lumps! Toffee coloured head. Bottled less than 8 weeks ago. Aroma is quality cocoa powder, figs, some roast coffee. Taste backs all that up, but tastes a little green. I reckon a year in the cellar could turn this beer into a beauty. Anyway, a cracking beer.
