Often cloudy, Saison range from shining gold to light caramel in color. They often exude strong aromas of pepper, fruit, and citrus. The Gladstone Summer Saison is no exception, and those flavours are apparent on the tongue as well. Complimented by the distinctively high carbonation of the style, they create a very light and dry mouth feel that fades quickly.

On tap at Tangent Cafe, pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out citrus tang and Belgian yeast. Flavour is clean and restrained, with Belgian yeast and citrus tang again. Very simple but clean. Meh.

Hazy blond, paleish. Unpleasant aroma of American Saison yeast, spicy but loaded with vegetables. The mouthfeel is rather dry, tastes like spices and plastic, drier in the end.
I have little patience left for these uneducated attempts at brewing a Belgian style.

Draft - Lots of sweet eatery fruit. Hazy yellow gold with a rich white head. Light eatery Belgian notes. Esters are a bit much.
