Made with a blend of four different malts with a firm bitterness courtesy of local Kentish hops, it is a velvety smooth beer with dry, burnt flavours and cocoa and coffee notes.

500ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Rocky, bubbly, two-finger thick, fawn-coloured head with fine retention. Crocheted lacework. Black as the polar night. Chocolate malty nose, nicely roasted. Dark malty flavours of chocolate, cocoa, dark bread and a developing touch of dark fruits. Nicely roasted bitter end. Medium boded. Smooth mouth feel. Enjoying. (Tromsø 11.10.2017).

Bottle. Pours inky black with tall airy beige head. Good retention & lacing. Aroma: big roast & coffee, earth. Light to medium body. Soft carbonation. The taste is very dry. Smooth roastiness, coffee and solid floral and citrusy ending bitterness make it be a beautiful example of classic English stouts.

Nagy, tartós hab, fekete szín. Csokis, pörkölt malátás illat. Száraz, pörkölt malátás, enyhén csokis, kakaós ízek, nyomokban egy kis gyümölcsösséggel. Közepesen testes, enyhén szénsavas, közepesen keserű. Egyszerű, letisztult stout.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Tom L’s place. Thanks Lior D. Dark brown to black with a beige head. Nice aroma of dark chocolate, some nuts, a bit of roast. Rather dry flavor, slightly sweetish, with chocolate, roast, and a bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Nice.

Not bad actually. Pours black with good head and lacing. Roast and a little chocolate like hersheys kiss. Bitter finish. Tap at All Out Sports Bar in Trinidad.

50 cl bottle poured in to a Snifter. Pitch black with a thin, tanned head. Roasted aroma with dark malts, coffee, chocolate, caramel malts, brown cookies. Some cocoa. A herbal bitterness. Taste is bitter-roasted. Medium body with an oily texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes dry and roasted bitter with liquorice and dark malts. Lovely Stout.

Black with a very nice tan head. Nice aroma of dark toasted malts with almost smokey hints, plus coffee hints. Medium body, medium carbonation. Sweet malty start with chocolate hints quickly thins to a sour and smokey burnt taste which develops into a long bitter and burnt finish. I guess it is good for the style, but I don’t find it very drinkable.
