One part of the ticking game I hate when clean sweeping a brew pub/tap is Scotch/Scottish/Och Aye Ales - I particularly loathe those with stupid fucking made up Scottish names ... I remain impartial of this fact on my rating however ... Tap at Cascade Lakes, Bend, 23/05/13. Clear dark amber with a thin off white head. Nose is dark malt, dark fruits, toffee. Taste is malt forward, caramel, dark fruit, sugars. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, some bitterness in the finish. Yawn.

Draft @ 7th St Brewhouse, Redmond, OR. Pours a pale amber color with a small off-white head. Has a sweetish malty caramel aroma. Roasted malty caramel and chocolate flavor. Has a slightly roasted malty caramel finish.

On Tap at Cascade Lakes Lodge Medium redish-brown witha nice lasting off white head. Very good even sheeting lacing. Fairly deep woody aroma and a full deep malty flavor. Hops were pretty light per the style and a soft carbonation level. Slightly chalky feel and a papery/cardboard aftertaste. Not bad though
