Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a clear copper gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has slightly earthy pine with some grass and a bit of citrus rind underlying. Flavor has a good amount of earthy pine with light citrus rind and a bit of sweet grain backing.

Grunt fill from Alertsons. Malt bomb. Dark, hazy amber, small filmy head. Malty aroma and taste, follows the English style. Malty, caramelly, and slightly metallic. Not bad, but the parts don’t necessarily add up and complement each other.

On Tap lightly hazy amber with a nice fin beige head and lacing, Toasted very caramelized malt flavor. Very little in the way of hop flavors. Barely bitter enough for an IPA let alone a double. Nice malty sweetness and a smooth palate. More like a mellow barley wine. Not bad, just not nearly agressive or hoppy enough for a Double IPA

On tap at Saraveza for the 5th IIPA fest, pours a hazy dark copper orange with a small white head. Aroma is well-balanced, with wood, caramel malt, and resinous hops. Flavour is very well-balanced, with the same flavours, finishing on woody caramel malt notes. Very well-balanced and drinkable. Great stuff.
