Don’t be fooled by the colour, this light-bodied lager will entice you with its dry coffee nose and its refreshing, clean finish. This black beer will hold its own on any hot patio day and will be a great alternative to simple mainstream American-style Lagers.

473ml can. Pours a clear ruby-brown with a medium, foamy, long lasting, beige head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of toasted bready malt, caramel, cocoa, dark fruit and earth. Sweet flavour of toasted bready malt, caramel, ash, earth, dark fruit, a hint of cocoa and day-old coffee in a dry, mild bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. Clean, well balanced and easy to drink.

Little aroma to speak of. Nice head on a black body (I’ve known some women like that). Slight stout flavour with a medium finish. Not bad at all.

Draft - Toasted malts and some toffee. Deep maroon with a decent beige head. Toasted malts and a nice dry finish. Solid.
