Clear mahogany brown. Very aromatic. Lots of Gale in the flavour. The overall sweetness makes this reasonably palatable.

How: Draught.
Where: The Bishops Arms Gamla Stan, Stockholm.
Appearance: Dark brown colour with an off-white head.
Aroma: Sweet gale, spices, caramel, fruit, berries.
Body: Medium body and carbonation.
Flavour: Spices, caramel, sweet gale, sweet malt, herbs.

I appreciate experiment, but they don’t always work out well. This one was a bit too herbal and grassy. Bit like a herbal potion.

Bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch nach Kräutern. Geschmack ebenfalls nach Kräutern, Fichte, leicht malzig.

Tap @ Beer Temple. Deep amber to brown color., slightly hazy. Dense, light beige head. Aroma’s: ginger, sweet spices (aniseed), sweet & sour fruit. Flavor is moderate to full sweet. Light bodied. Herbal and slightly grainish finish. Very herbal/spicy, but I still quite like this.

On draft at the beer temple. thin creamy white head. Clear burgundy pour. Nice herbal aftertaste

Tap at the Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Poured a clear dark brown with a reddish hue and a bubbly broken light tan head. The aroma is of sweet cherries, yeast and a little spice. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter with a light malt yeast red berry fruit palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation. I have to say I’m a little disappointed. A little bland to be honest. It needs something to define it and it’s not there.

Draught @ Pikkulintu
Aroma has rosemary, peppery spices, herbal tones and some toffee. Flavour as lots of rosemary, some clove, other peppery spices, some sweet toffee notes and hints of caramel. Somewhat sticky palate. Too sweet, too spicy.

Tap@ pikkulintu. Mahogany, thin white head. Spicy aroma, xmas spics like cinnamon covers the rest. Flavor has spices, clove, cinnamon, malt. Bitter finish. Spicy xmas brew.

Deep ruby color, small beige head. Spicey, clove aroma. Light-bodied. Spicey, light caramel, spruce, ginseng and soya sauce. Medicinal.
